Well, I haven't posted to the blog much lately. Sorry.
But we're back in Thailand after a wonderful visit to the U.S. and Canada. We rented a truck to move to our new house in SiRacha, and I had to "re-learn" how to drive. Yes, I drove a bit in the states on my visit this summer...but that was the same driving I'd been doing for the past 20+ years. Today was a bit different. First of all, the driver sits on the right side of the car, driving on the left side of the road. And the truck we're renting is a manual transmission. Luckily, I learned on a manual many many years ago. (Thanks mom!) But shifting with the left hand took some practice. At least the pedals are still the same. But one thing that I still mess up are the blinkers! The blinkers are on the right side of the steering wheel, so every time I would turn on the blinkers, I'd turn on the windshield wipers instead. And of course, Devin was the peanut gallery laughing her head off in the seat next to me, not helping the cause very much.
But I didn't cause any accidents and managed to drive successfully.
Until next time, I hope all of you are well.
