Japan - Day 16 - Travel to Tokyo

4th January, 2008

Today was a fairly uneventful day.  We got to ride the bullet train from Kyoto all the way to Tokyo.  The whole ride was about three hours.  Top speed was probably around 180 mph.  And of all the trains, the bullet train is the smoothest.  And on the ride back to Tokyo we got to see Mt. Fuji from a distance.  It reminded me of Mt. Rainier in many ways.

We stayed at a hotel near the airport since our flight in the morning left pretty early.  Otherwise, this was a pretty simple day.

As usual, some pictures are below.  Click on the image to see a larger version.
