Monday July 30th

I feel as though I'm living like a king...We decided to head back to the pool today.  I went down to Pattaya on a Baht bus to sign up for a dive tomorrow.  Woohoo!  My first day of diving will finally be here.  I can't wait.  Since this is my first dive here, I had to check in with the shop first.  Luckily, this trip down Soi 6 was much tamer than my trip with David...I guess the women that were lining the street the last time we were here sleep in a bit.  I negotiated much quicker this time, knowing where I was going, and made the round trip in under an hour, all for 20 Baht.  (Less than a dollar...)  I had to walk maybe 1/2 mile each way.

Then it was off to the pool to join Devin and David.  I decided I wanted to spoil Devin a bit.  (And myself, too, I suppose...) There's a spa by the pool, so Devin got a head/shoulder/neck massage that lasted well over an hour for about $40.  Then I got a sea-salt body scrub.  Same price...1500 THB, which is about $40 or so.  My skin's never felt softer!  As I said yesterday...a guy could get used to this.  After I got done, David was on his way to a nice sunburn, so we called it a day at the pool.  (See the pictures below.  If that doesn't entice you to come visit...I don't know what will!)  Well, that's all for now.  I've got dishes to do.

This is the view from the entry-way into the pool area.  Nice, huh? Looking at the bottom pool.  Yes, there are two pools here... Looking up towards the upper-level pool.  It's above the first set of rocks by the waterfall. My view from the lounge chair by the pool.

David having fun in the pool, working on his sunburn. Heck, I didn't even take a picture of the beach.  Since Naklua is relatively close to the deep sea port, the swimming at the beach here isn't perfect.  But we hope to spend some time on some of the local islands to get our fill of beach time.
